And no, not becuase it is the year of the Dragon, which by the way, is always a great year. (I’m a dragon: 82′) It’s becuase this is the year we have all been waiting for; the year that we have all wanted to work up to. Why do you ask is this such a big year? Well this is because the International Barbershop Contest is in our own backyard in Portlandia. The center of the barbershop world will be a 3 hour drive away.

And even though we are headed to spend a week with Port Scum, (go Sounders!) in the mild Northwest heat of July, this is the event we have been working up to for 5 years now.

So if you sang with us before, you are on our list. If you wanted to sing with us, but have been to shy, come see us. Rehearsal is only a week away on Thursday. See you there.
