Leadership

The picture above was taken approximately 5 seconds after a posed shot, illustrating how quickly NVP’s ranks can disorganize themselves when not under direct supervision.  As you can see, it is incredibly difficult to get forty men in their 20′s and early 30′s together for anything, much less a full-on show or competition. Even beyond just getting the chorus together, someone also has to organize a venue, music, suits, witty repartee, a director, and (most importantly!) an audience. NVP would like to extend our thanks to our fantastic leadership. Their hard work has brought us to the organization that we have today.

Every year in December we hold our annual NVP Banquet. This is a dinner where the chorus and friends get together, sing, talk about the year in review, and vote on our officials for the next year. All of our board members are elected democratically by the chorus, ensuring that members are happy with the leadership that will be guiding NVP for the next year. Here are NVP’s Board Members (and Director) for 2010.

Neal Booth – Director

As father of NVP co-founder Sam Booth, Neal has been with NVP since the beginning.  He has been kind enough to share the deep knowledge of barbershop music he possesses as an Evergreen District quartet champion, and regularly goes out of his way to give to the chorus.  When NVP was in need of a director, he quickly offered to give up his time in order to step in until we could find a relationship.  However, he’s done such a fantastic job that we have decided to keep him on for the long haul.  Neal lives in Ballard with his wife and small dog.

Drew Osterhout – President

David Nguyen – Secretary

Josh LeClerc – Director of Music

Ian Kelly – Director of Marketing

Deran Conkling – Director of Events

Michael Kelly – Director of Membership

Kevin Kelly – Director of Finances

Adrian Leontovich – Board Member at Large

James Jones – Board Member at Large
